Our ‘how to’ series is a firm favorite with our audience. From how to build your very own monopoly table to a petrol can mini bar, who doesn’t love making something amazing out of an every day regular material?

Well, this time, we’ve got a great one for you with another On The Tools original. A DIY drink mixer!

One for the sparkies (with a little help from the plumbers), this would look cool in any man cave or bar. So, we decided to show you how to make one!

Step One: The wood. After measuring the wood and cutting it to size, you’ll need to get painting for a snazzy looking finish. We decided to go for a grey wood stain this time.

Step Two: The fittings. Here, you’ll need to get a hold of some pipe and trim it into short lengths. These, along with the elbow fittings and cut off valves then need to be put together. *Please note that copper pipes should not be used as seen in the video*

Step Three: Assembly. After gluing rubber stoppers to the top of the pipes, you’ll then need to assemble the frame using the wood and some extra pipe. Then, after adding the tap and attaching the plumbing to the woodwork, you’ll finally just need to attach the bottles.

And there you have it, your very own drink mixer!

Created as part of our On The Tools Originals series, the ‘How To’ style videos go down a treat with our audience. Currently, at 1.8 million views and counting, the comments flew with people describing their attempts and some of the trades offering us advice. (Stainless steel is best, not copper!) Either way, people were loving it with many tagging their mates and sharing it with all of their friends. But what do you think of it?
