Recently, a female cyclist was captured being verbally abused by a tradesman sitting in a van at a red light. Apparently, when she rejected him, he retaliated asking if she was “on her period.”
The entire incident was captured by a following motor cyclist on his GoPro camera. The footage displays the van and the cyclist pull up to a red light. It is at the point the van driver calls to the cyclist, “alright, want my number?”
To this, the female cyclist tells the tradesman to go away and slaps the van. This appears to fuel the tradesman though. He then leans out of the van stating “that’s not very ladylike is it?”
When she responds he then goes on to shout “shut up you old dog, you on your period?”

As the lights turn green, it appears that this is the cyclist’s time to escape from her catcallers. However, instead, the cyclist frantically chases after the van until it pulls over to the side of the road. It is at that point that she then begins to pull at the wing mirror of the van before pulling it completely off.
After this, she then rides off as the tradesmen in the van begin to complain. However, they are soon silenced as the motorcyclist pulls up alongside the van claiming: “that’s exactly what you deserve you scum.”
However, according to The Sun, there has been some debate as to whether this video is real. Apparently, a witness told them that prior to the incident being captured, they “practiced the scene two or three times with the motorbike riding behind them.”
“You could see there was already damage to the wing mirror, it was loose.”
