Recently, two teenagers have admitted to causing around £40,000 worth of damage at a construction site after using heavy machinery to drag around specialist equipment.

After entering the site, the teenagers drove an excavator around the site, crashing into fences as it went. Not only that, but they then also damaged underground drains and cabling whilst digging holes all over the site. This wasn’t the end either as the teenagers then used the arm of the digger to drag an excavator across the site before the cab was torn completely off. The controls were even ripped out of the bottom too, hanging only by a thread. This destruction was discovered by workers in the morning when they arrived at the site to start the day.

This destruction was discovered by workers in the morning when they arrived at the site to start the day. In court, the sixteen-year-old’s admitted and pleaded guilty to causing the damage on site. The owner of the firm conducting the work stated: “it’s terrible what they have down. It’s ridiculous.”

“You will get windows smashed and other damage but it’s something else to actually rip the cab off.”

“It’s just mindless. I don’t understand what they would have got out of doing it.”

“One of them has got into the machine and got it started and then travelled it out the site and then the whole cab has been pulled off.”

It is estimated that the two teenagers ended up causing a whopping £37,000 in damages.

Instead of causing thousands worth of damage though, the teens could have, instead, gone to a construction based theme park to have their fun. These parks are located around the world and allow you to drive heavy machinery around the site. Take a look at the theme park here.
