One work place accident has recently resulted in a large amount of emergency services being called out for a rescue mission. This included four members of a hazardous response team, ten firefighters and a doubled up ambulance crew. They were all necessary though to free the worker.
When cleaning the cement mixer, he had unfortunately fallen in and and become trapped. When the paramedics arrived, the worker was suffering in the cold and was unable to free himself. The temperatures were freezing and the worker had an injured leg. Emergency services were able to free the worker though by cutting through the mixer with a circular power saw.
It took two long hours before he was finally free though. Then, he was rushed to a nearby hospital to be checked over and for his injured leg to be assessed.
A spokesperson for the fire service stated: “the man had been cleaning the inside of the empty cement mixer when he slipped and fell.”
“He had fallen on his leg and under his own weight had been unable to get out.”
Considering this, it’s probably not the best idea to do this then:
