We love creating something amazing out of the ordinary here at On The Tools. From a petrol can mini bar to a whiskey barrel dartboard, we love it! So, we decided to do something different with an old decorating table. Beer pong! A staple of every good party, this takes beer pong to a whole new level. But how do you make one for yourself?
Well, first up, you’re going to need to get your hands on an old wallpapering table. Sanding it down until it’s nice and smooth, you’ll then need to get to work marking out the places for the cups, cutting them out and sanding them smooth. Now, in theory, this is where you could stop. But, let’s be honest, no one wants a boring beer pong table!
So, next up is to get painting. In any colour scheme you like, we went with a classic blue and white. Maybe mark out some lines along the table too, these will help you guide where the ball will bounce before it heads towards the cup.
Then, it’ll be worth adding something protective to the holes you cut out early, you don’t want those cups going anywhere! Next, it’s time for some lights! Securing these underneath means the light will bounce up through the cups and take this game of beer pong to the next level.
And finally, all that’s left to do is fill the cups and have a game! Happy beer ponging!
