A construction worker has recently helped aid police in the capture of a drunk driver. The police arrived at the scene to find the car in question trapped by the bucket of a construction worker’s excavator.

The worker stated that the driver had gotten out of his car to confront him about his work. It was at that point, that the worker could tell that the driver was heavily intoxicated. Therefore, he used his excavator to trap the car and try and prevent the driver from fleeing.

When the police arrived, they took the driver to the station. There, they established that he had a blood alcohol level of three times the legal limit. The man was consequently then arrested and charged.

A sergeant at the station stated it was the first time she had ever seen something like this. She continued, “the officers responding probably haven’t seen something like that before either.”

“It was a different way, but it was effective.”

So what do you think? Have you ever had to do something like this? Let us know in the comments below.
