There’s no such thing as rival trades when it comes to helping people in need. The construction industry, is one of the best, for people coming together to help others. And, for these plumbers and electricians, they are doing exactly that.

Coming together, they are set to play 32 hours straight of rugby! No breaks, the game will be played non-stop. But, why are they doing this?

Well, these courageous tradespeople are trying to help raise money for a really worthwhile cause; Scotty’s Little Soldiers. Developed by Nikki Scott, this charity is special to many people across the country. Unfortunately, it was after Nikki lost her husband in combat that the charity was founded.

Dedicated to helping children who have lost their parents while serving in the British Armed Forces, the aim of this charity is to put a smile back on their faces. Whether this is through counselling or holiday breaks, their focus is to support the children and #HelpTheirChildrenSmile.

So, these trades plan to break the world record for the longest rugby match and raise money for this incredible charity at the same time. The event will take place at Worcester Warriors’ Sixways Stadium and will be a fantastic occasion to help raise some money.

These electricians and plumbers did try this last year but unfortunately, their plans were foiled by faulty cameras. However, this hasn’t slowed them down. Now, they are more hungry than ever to complete this challenge and break the record. And they’re set for it to be the most gruelling and challenging thing they’ve ever done.

So what do you think of this? Can you support these incredible tradesmen and Scotty’s Little Soldiers? If you can, please head over to their JustGiving page and donate. No much is too little.
