Two men have reportedly been stabbed in Kirkby last week after a group of 10 teens stormed a building site, stabbing those in their way.
Launching the attack in broad daylight, some were reported to have arrived at the site on pedal bikes. Wearing black and grey, there was up to ten youths who stormed the site.
Emergency services were called to the scene rushing the victims to the hospital. One of which, a 48-year-old, sustained injuries to his back. Alongside this, the second man, at 23 years old, was treated for wounds to his leg.
Forensic and witness enquiries are now taking place, including studying CCTV, at the site too.
However, this wasn’t the only horrific crime to take place in Kirby that day though. Instead, a man in his early thirties was gunned down earlier that morning too!
Chief Inspector Andy Rankine stated, “This is a shocking attack in broad daylight and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone fitting the description of the offenders making off from the scene to please get in touch.”
“I want to make it absolutely clear that Merseyside Police will not tolerate knife crime and alongside our partners.”
“We will continue to educate our young people, enforce and act on any information given to us, to make the streets safer.”
“I appeal to anyone who has any information in relation to this incident to contact police so we can find those responsible and bring them to justice.”
But, without this kind of thing, sites are dangerous enough as they are! This isn’t the first time an incident like this has taken place either. Just last year a worker was attacked and stabbed repeatedly on site in a Scotland. Take a look at the full report on this here.
